Daily Prayer – Pray ACTS
“Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you.
Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.”
Lord God Almighty.
Maker of heaven and earth.
Creator of every living thing.
You are worthy to receive blessing and honour and glory and power because all things have been made by You.
You spoke, and it came to be.
You said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.
Every star and every planet have been fashioned by Your hand.
The earth and everything in it, the world and its inhabitants, was made through Christ and for Him and continues to be sustained by Him.
We are so dependent upon You for life and breath and everything else.
Every good thing comes to us from Your kind hand.
So, we give to You our thanks and we look to You to provide for our needs and to satisfy our every desire.
Our Father, we hear Your Word proclaim about us, that “there is no one righteous, not even one” and we confess that this is true.
We are unrighteous.
The effects of Adam’s disobedience have reached every part of us.
We were guilty when we were born.
We were sinful when our mothers conceived us.
We were people weighed down with iniquity.
By nature, we despised You and turned our backs on You, showing ourselves to be children of disobedience.
Yet You showed Your love for us by sending Your one and only Son to be the Saviour we need.
We thank You that everyone who believes in Him, including us, will not perish but have eternal life.
We thank You that everyone who believes in His Name, You adopt as Your children, which is why incredibly we can pray to You as our Father.
We give to You all our thanks.
You, our Lord, have commanded us to rejoice in You always, and You have given us Your Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with joy.
Help us then, first and foremost, to delight in You, that through faith in Your Son, we have You as our God, and may we see You as the great giver of all the good things so that the joy we have in You, increases.
When the boundary lines have fallen for us in pleasant places help us to be content and thankful to You; and when suffering comes, may Your presence with us continue to give us joy in the midst of difficulty and disappointment.
We thank You that one day our joy will be complete when Jesus takes us to be with Him.
Come, Lord Jesus, come, is our prayer.
Lord, save, bless, shepherd, and carry us forever.
Provide for all our physical and spiritual needs.
Give today, the daily bread we need: the gifts, time, resources, energy, and health we need to live for Your glory.
Protect us from the evil one and from giving into the temptation to sin.
