The Big Read – Daily Read
v1-2: “Godly people should imitate the God they worship, as far as he has revealed himself and as far as they are capable of doing… We must be holy as God is holy, merciful as he is merciful, perfect as he is perfect,” and especially, we are to be like him “in his love and goodness, in his mercy and readiness to forgive.”
v3-4: We are to rid our lives not only of those gross acts of sin, but also those which “some people may make light of and think excusable.”
v5: “Those who are unrepentant and indulge themselves either in the lustful desires of the flesh or in the love of the world are not true Christians.” These are sins that we need to be on our guard against.
