Daily Prayer – Pray ACTS
“Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you.
Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.”
King of the ages, immortal, invisible.
It is a great comfort to know that You are the everlasting God, who does not faint or grow weary, and who is the same yesterday and today and forever.
That before the mountains were brought forth, or You had laid the foundation of the earth, You were there.
It is a great comfort because it means not only that You will keep every single promise that You have made, but also that each one comes from Your perfect wisdom and knowledge of all that is and is to come.
So, we worship You, the First and the Last, the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end.
Help us, O God of our salvation, for we all have sinned and fallen short of Your glory.
Before we trusted in Christ, our understandings were darkened, we were ignorant, and our hearts were hard.
Yet we confess that though a wonderful change has taken place in us, we still choose not to understand, we like being ignorant about what Your Word says, to convince ourselves that we do not need to obey Your commands, because we like to do what is evil.
Forgive us our sins.
Thank You that Jesus is the Son of Man with authority to forgive sins.
What a joy it is to know that through faith in His blood, You graciously and freely justify us, so that though we repeatedly fall, we can have the assurances that we have been cleansed of all our transgressions and are accepted by You.
Prince of peace, who by Your death has brought us peace with God, we ask You to fill us by Your Holy Spirit with an inner peace, that comes from knowing that we are right with You.
Guard our hearts and our minds we pray.
May we know Your presence with us, so that we do not need to be afraid of or dismayed by our present circumstances.
You have brought us peace with one another, so we ask that You would help us to make every effort to do what leads to peace in our relationships, and avoid hatred, discord, dissensions and those other acts of the flesh which would destroy this.
We thank You that peace is available to all who trust in Christ, and so we pray that we would bring peace into the lives of others by speaking the gospel to them.
Lord, turn your face towards us and bless us with peace.
Lord, save, bless, shepherd, and carry us forever.
Provide for all our physical and spiritual needs.
Give today, the daily bread we need: the gifts, time, resources, energy, and health we need to live for Your glory.
Protect us from the evil one and from giving into the temptation to sin.
