Daily Prayer – Pray ACTS
“Let me experience your faithful love in the morning, for I trust in you.
Reveal to me the way I should go because I appeal to you.”
Our Father in heaven,
We praise You that You are the source of all blessing and You have blessed Your people with every spiritual blessing.
It was Your plan and purpose to send Jesus into the world to save sinners.
Lord Jesus, thank You that You lived a holy and righteous life and died a sacrificial death to secure every blessing of salvation for us.
And Holy Spirit, we bless You for Your work in our lives, assuring us that we are forgiven, accepted, loved, and protected, and for restoring in us the image of God by growing us in Christlikeness.
Triune God, to You be glory in the church.
We confess Lord, that we take the salvation You have given to us when we believed in the name of Jesus, for granted.
We do not work out our salvation with trembling and fear.
We do not strive to be holy.
We do not hold fast to the gospel.
Like the world we are happy to relax, to eat and drink and be merry.
We have become weary of doing good.
How can we treat what Jesus has done this way?
He has loved us with a loved that is strong as death, and which led to His death in our place to pay the penalty we deserve.
He gave His life that we might live.
We thank You that He remains faithful to us when we are faithless, and He will not lose one of those He died for.
Our God, You have been so generous to us, and have given to us far more than we deserve, and yet we frequently act as if this is not enough.
Open our eyes to see how kind You have been to us so that we trust in You as our provider and give cheerfully, generously, and sacrificially to those in need,
and to the work of the gospel,
and not neglect this duty.
Give us a desire to flee laziness and work hard in our vocations.
Help us to recognise those for whom we have responsibilities to,
and to be good stewards by being wise in managing our money and not wasting it on foolish habits.
Lord, save, bless, shepherd, and carry us forever.
Provide for all our physical and spiritual needs.
Give today, the daily bread we need: the gifts, time, resources, energy, and health we need to live for Your glory.
Protect us from the evil one and from giving into the temptation to sin.
