Christianity Explored over the years has produced a number of great resources for both adults and young people, and now they have come up with an outstanding one especially for children.
Epic Explorers is a five session programme that aims to help children discover who Jesus is, why He came, and what it means to follow Him.
The Leader’s Guide is jam packed with everything needed to run it in a variety of settings, making it really easy for churches to adapt it for their situation, whether it be a Holiday Bible Club, a midweek club or a Sunday children’s group. There’s even lots of practical advice including training for leaders, help with publicity and how to transform your venue into an adventure island.
Not only that, this resource makes sure that you won’t ever run out of ideas of what you can do to fill the time you have with the children, because in addition to the introductory activities, Bible teaching, snack, prayer suggestion, drama, craft ideas, and team challenge options for each session, included are also a number of crafts, games and quiz ideas on the exploration theme. Amazingly more ideas available to download online too.
Alongside the Leader’s Guide, there is also an Epic Explorers Scratch Pad (for 4-7s) and Logbook (for 8-11s). Both are colourful and beautifully designed, and a great way to reinforce the Bible teaching in discussion groups.
Like the Christianity Explored course and the Soul/CY course for young people, Epic Explorers does not disappoint. The question is not IF I will use this resource, but WHEN will I use this resource.
