“Sensual choices are sinful choices, and seldom work out well.
Those who in choosing relatives, callings, or homes are guided and controlled by the lustful desire of sinful human nature, of the eye, or the pride of life, and do not consider the interests of their souls and their religion, cannot expect God’s presence with them or his blessing on them.
They are commonly disappointed even in what they mainly aimed at and miss what they promised themselves satisfaction in.
In all our choices this principle should overrule us: what is best for us is what is best for our souls.” (Matthew Henry)
Here’s the first list I’ve seen of notable Christian books being released in 2018. One book not on the list, but hopefully will be published is the next in the Ministry Journeys series.
Three prayers to pray each morning:
“Lord I am a person in desperate need of help today.
Lord I pray that in your grace you would send your helpers my way.
Lord I pray you would give me the humility to receive the help when it comes.”
“Whilst not all churches must be multicultural, multiethnic, multiwhatever to be biblical, some churches are doing something wrong if they are not.” (Stephen Kneale)
